Astro and Healing Justice: Integrating Healing Through Our Wokeness

Sunday February 20th 1:30pm-5pm EST // 10:30-2pm PST, tickets here

People often forget that Venus is a planet of justice. Healing Justice movements birthed by Black and Indigenous people give us helpful liberation frameworks that I'm excited to integrate with tropical and sidereal astrology. No astro experience required. In this class participants will learn:

-Planetary themes through Indigenous African philosophies + BIPOC realities

-Indigenous African relationship frameworks

-Black roots and inspiration of "woke"

- Intersectionality as an act of compassion

-Confront Anti-Blackness

-Overcoming systemic inequities and barriers to rest and rejuvenation

-Embody sacredness of Healing Justice and understand the connections of politics and spirituality

Following the class, there will be break-out discussion to reflect on and process things that may have come up for people while attending the class. There will be a room for Black folks, a room for White folks, and a room for Non-Black people of color, as we understand that non-Black people of color perpetuate anti-Blackness. We aim for these rooms to help folks create space for the sacred work our communities require of us. Reflection circles facilitated by Elmina Bell of Mulema Alchemy (for Black folks), 李道玲Camellia Dao-Ling (for Non-Black People of Color) and Ash Stewack (for White folks)

A recording of the class will be available for those who cannot make it live, and zoom link will be sent the day of anad also avaliable on the online event page.
