August 7th, 3PM PST / 6PM EST
Release and move through inter-generational trauma with ancient Chinese wisdom. From a Daoist perspective, we embody the qi of Jupiter, Mars, Earth, Saturn, Venus and Mercury in our meridians, 臟腑 zangfu organs and 丹田 dantian energy centers. In this class, we will re-connect to the stardust + solar system in our cells + viscerae, aligning our breath + movement to support qi flow. By attuning our posture + respiration to ancient protocols, we tap into deep knowing, agency + awareness. The goal of our practice is to access the inner wisdom + healing capacities that are our birthright, supporting our bodies as microcosms of all Existence. Tend to body, heart and spirit and nurture your lifeforce energy as radical resistance to systems of violence. A particularly tender invitation for diasporas of Asia + Oceania to receive embodied folk medicine without white gatekeeping, Orientalism, Confucian patriarchy or cis-heteronormativity. ASL translation provided.
